Description
One of My FAVORITE MOTU characters never really used.
Wun-Dar is a variant of He-man that has a lot of mystery behind it. The RUMOR or STANDING THEORY was that he was a mail in promotion from Wonder Bread in the early to mid eighties, but theres some question if thats actually true as some reading I 've found suggests that both Mattel and Wb don't have records of it. ( they're lost or misplaced or possibly don't exist.... as I understand it) Even some figures that show up from collectors don't match. One version that reoccurs has no chest guard ( the redo of Zodacs, in black instead of red ). Some versions have it. Some have the power sword, some have the axe.
Its basically its He-man with Brown/black hair with Black metal belt and black Zodak chest guard and Black boots and armguards.
Recently Mattel and The 4 Horsemen ( studio of toy sculptors ) created a version for their MOTU Classics line that came with a yearly subscription. The sculpt is pretty awesome even for a He-man redeco, and it just looks cool in hand. The paint job really sets this apart from just being a blah rehash and its easily the one of the coolest i own. ( I don't collect much at all...just MOTU and T-cats ).
Anyway..this is the last of my Charity Auction pieces before the deadline. If You attend Power-Con ( I can't) this will be the best Chance to get something of mine on the west coast AND its for a good cause.
*BTW all the info on Wun-Dar is from my own research, if I got anything wrong, please feel free to note me.

Wun-Dar is a wonderful "MOTU" character to explore.
