OH W-O-W!
Joe mentioned he's like to take a stab at some of the MOTU pieces ---specifically Trapjaw and Tri-Klops. Joe just nailed it.

First of all , I Love Inkers. I've been blessed to get the attention of some of my faves and legends in the biz to ink my stuff. Tim Townsend, George Perez, Trevor Scott, Danny Miki, Dexter Vines, Vince Russell, Don Hillsman, Mark Mckenna, ... ..and far more than I ever thought I deserved. ( as well as some incredible up and comers..Diana, Rick, Wakster, Mark...all yous guys know who you are ). I respect the talent and the skill you have to have, the patience to learn and master tool like a quill nib , pen, brush,..how to make those tools give you what you want...I've tried it, I suck at it...LOL

When I collaborate with someone, its all the really a big thrill to see how the give and take goes. How someones hand translates what you put down,...the embellishment, the soul.

I spent my teens just pouring over comics, loving how I could tell the diffs of how maybe John Byrne inked his stuff vs how maybe Bob Mcleod, or Terry Austin would.... thats the magic for me in the art. Most of the time its hit, a few sometimes its miss , in collabs. But that s the beauty of comics..you get to see how this beast and that beast merge to create a totally new monster.

Part of it is communication and I've always been poor at describing what I 'm aiming for. If I ever have to translate what I'm looking for in how I see my linework, this might just be a REALLY good place to start.
